Back to the Future II was fun, but it seemed mostly like a transition between the first and third movies. It also seemed “cheap” in a lot of ways. III felt like a movie in its own right, though you clearly needed all the foreshadowing from II to properly enjoy it.

Actually, I generally watch II and III together.
